Take part in the consultation on a potential town council for Weymouth

Local government in Dorset could be about to change. A proposal to replace nine existing councils with two new ones has been submitted to the government.

If that goes ahead, Weymouth and Portland Borough Council will not exist in April 2019. It will also be virtually the only area in Dorset not supported by a town or parish council.

As such, Weymouth and Portland Borough Council is asking residents for their views on setting up a town council for Weymouth.
