Litter bins are being installed shortly at six sites in the Park District as part of a trial period. This follows requests from the local community for their return.
The litter bins were removed a few years ago following repeated fly-tipping around them. The cost associated with removing and disposing of fly-tipped waste is high and it makes the area look unsightly. Dorset Waste Partnership and the council have done a lot of work to improve the cleanliness of the area.
We would ask people to keep an eye on the litter bins and report any fly-tipping with any details of irresponsible residents to Dorset Waste Partnership.
